Workshop scope

We will demonstrate a sample of ocean sensors and apps, with relevance for citizen science.

  • Fishing for data, by Berring Data Collective and SMHI. Cooper van Vranken demonstrates.

  • Simple ocean current logger, by Deepoid AB. Anders Brodin demonstrates.

  • Sailing4science , by GU and others. Martin Hassellöv demonstrates.

  • EyeOnWater, an app for observing ocean color, by MARIS and others. Patrick Gorringe demonstrates.

  • Algal Blooms Sweden, an app/protocol for observing algal blooms, by Maranics AB. Ana Tronholm demonstrates.

We will discuss opportunities and challenges, also beyond the technical aspects.

This is an event under the banner of Ocean Data for Ocean Health a collaboration between Maritime Cluster of Western Sweden, Ocean Data Factory Sweden, SCOOT and Swedish Maritime Technology Forum.
