Rashid Sumaila, the Volvo Environment Prize laureate
2017 is professor and an expert on the economy of
fisheries. He is Director of the Fisheries Economics
Research Unit, Institute of the Oceans and Fisheries
and the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs,
University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
